How
To Tie A Scarf
Tying a scarf is an art form in itself. Something as
simple as a scarf can add class, style and high fashion to the simplest outfit. However, misuse of something so
small yet powerful can be the death of your overall look. Just as with any added piece of fabric, a scarf can
enhance or take away from your wardrobe appearance. The scarf was originally created to be worn around the neck,
but as with any piece of garment, we all want to make our own unique twist to it. Hence the discovery of all the
ways to not only tie but wear a scarf
As with the traditional tie for men, a scarf can be tied in a Windsor knot fashion. It can be tied in a bow style.
It can be simply pinned to an item. The choice is yours, but probably the best part of the scarf is not how it's
tied, rather how to best wear a scarf. Better yet, where to wear the scarf on your outfit.
In tying a scarf, you can start from the head and work your way down.
I've seen women place the scarf over their head like a cap and tie the excess in the back like a tale. Others have
wrapped it like they would around their neck and tied a knot to the side over off-centered to the left or right at
or just passed the temple. Some have draped it over both shoulders for that caped formal look. or just letting it
hang on either side of the lapel.
Another scarf fashion is to widely spread the scarf over one shoulder bringing the ends together on the opposite
side of your body front and back and tie a knot at the right or left hip. Still another way displaying how to tie a
scarf is by wrapping it around your hips and tying it by the left or right hip. One way to get that edgy,
rebellious look, just tie it to one leg. Check out the image below on some of the ways of how to tie a
scarf.
